Leadership Development Intensive (LDI)

The LDI, designed by Dr. John Scherer has been a flagship leadership program for over two decades, focused on five of the most important questions leaders need to ask:

The 4-day residential intensive program, bracketed with some preparatory work and some follow-up commitments, consistently transforms leaders’ belief systems about themselves, their impact, their organizations and their potential. What we believe has a huge impact on what we achieve. Each day begins with a relaxing physical work-out. This program, now offered in ten countries, has been translated into German, Polish, Scottish (!!) and French is underway. The curriculum focuses on the health of the whole person – somatic, emotional, cognitive and spiritual, and is delivered with care and attention to the needs of each individual by certified facilitators and enlivened by rich sharing of experience.

Regardless of cultural contexts the LDI continues to reap accolades from participants:

“Do not take this course if you have any fears about examining who you are, or why you work, lead, live and breathe as you do now. Take it as climbers and divers take the heights and depths. Take it in order to know where it is possible to go.” – Virginia Robinson, Toronto

"It is easy to focus on the big challenges in leadership, but we often forget to reflect on how much individuals accomplish... It is remarkable how by sharing, sometimes surprisingly personal reflections, [we] are finding a way to strike a balance between the many different dimensions of leadership. There is great intellect in the room, but also a lot of heart and emotion to be shared." – Ariane Sabet, UN System Staff College & Henrik Hammargren, Dag Hammarskjöld Foundation

We have offered this program in Canada to federal public servants, military members, and consultants and to the United Nations System Staff College Training in Italy and Sweden.

Each program is delivered by two certified LDI facilitators.
